Fantasy Fest

Summer vacation is just over and already the question arises where to spend a few more warm and exciting days in the fall. The ten-day Fantasy Fest in Key West celebrates a carnival-like spectacle. Visitors can look forward to masquerade balls, costume contests, street fairs and more.

Highlights among the dozens of events organized during the festival include the coronation of the Fantasy Fest royal couple, a wacky pet dress-up show and the Key West Business Guild’s Headdress Ball, where the contestant wearing the most impressive headdress wins. On the final weekend of the festival, nearly 70,000 spectators are expected to descend on Whitehead and Duval streets for the spectacular Bud Light Fantasy Fest Parade. The parade is a dazzling procession of large floats, costumed marching groups and bands. Both the floats and costumes are inspired by the theme of the day.
